To Tweet or not to Tweet?

To Tweet or not to Tweet? That is the question in today’s cyberspace society. Even Oprah has learned to Tweet…what you do when you add a thought to Twitter. I’m just getting into the mode of posting on my blog and “they” say we need to put our voice out there in cyberspace yet another way.

This topic came up on LinkedIN a professional site where I learn much and make valuable contacts. I was intrigued with the wide range of opinions on it. I boiled it down to balance. If we call ourselves writers or business people, how much time do we have in a day to pursue our careers or in my case write more? I haven’t found that 26th hour yet.

Networking is invaluable even if we’re planning a trip like we are. So much is learned by talking to others that will save us money and heart ache later. But my question is: When is cyberspace chatter productive and when is it simply wasting precious time in a day? Even if you’re not working outside the home, couldn’t you be going for a walk, reading a book or really talking to your partner or best friend?

What do you think? What is your experience with all this technology?
